Municipal/Governmental Law is an area that indirectly affects each and every citizen whether you realize it or not. Each of the entities the firm represents brings its own set of unique issues and challenges which are addressed on a daily basis by the firm’s attorneys. Accordingly, we stay abreast of the latest changes in public entity law. Because the firm represents a number of public entities, we are able to share the collective knowledge and experience attained with each of our retained clients.

On a regular basis, the firm’s attorneys deal with issues related to land use and planning, the Brown Act, drafting legislation, conflict of interest, inter-governmental relations, litigation, public contracts, general plan revision, zoning, public contracting, environmental law, real estate acquisitions, land use matters, special assessments, employment and labor issues, code violations, and capital improvement.

The firm is experienced in areas of litigation as well as general legal matters of a municipal nature, including defending municipal entities. Similarly, the firm has experience concerning administrative trials and similar proceedings, to include actions for administrative mandamus, as well as personnel issues including Skelly Hearings and subsequent appeals from litigation challenging discipline.
